Namibia’s Ministry of Trade and Industry has agreed to the set-up what will be the first crocodile breeding project in the Zambezi Region.

The $2.5 million Manyeha Crocodile Leather Processing and Training Centre will cover seven hectares and aims to boost tourism as well as produce leather and meat.

Local councillor David Muluti said: "The farm will be established to breed crocodiles and it will serve as a training centre as initiated by the constituency development committee on behalf of the residents of the Kongola constituency and the Zambezi region at large."
