South Korea’s Trenbe to host ‘Chanel Day’

Seoul-headquartered luxury e-commerce platform Trenbe, whose artificial intelligence-powered “trenbot” scours the internet to find the cheapest-priced luxury goods around the world, is set to host what it is calling “Chanel Day” on January 28.

The company described the event as a special exhibition of Chanel's spring-summer 2022 merchandise for private customers (members who have signed up to receive notifications), with classic and typically difficult-to-purchase models also featured in the mix.

The emphasis will be on providing access to handbag styles that are not otherwise easily available in South Korea. Fittingly, a spokesperson predicted that the upcoming Chanel line-up will sell out quickly.

According to reports, Trenbe has around 4.5 million monthly active users and has previously held similar “exhibitions” in partnership with French luxury brands Louis Vuitton and Celine.

Founded in 2017, the South Korean business operates logistics centres in Italy, the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as in its home market. It verifies and certifies product authenticity in-house and last summer announced its newest service, dedicated to Japanese customers.
