Chanel to restage Parisian show in Florence
French luxury house Chanel is set to re-present its 2021-2022 Métiers d’art collection, originally held at newly opened artisanal workshop Le19M in Paris early last December, in Florence on June 7.

The Parisian house currently divides its manufacturing between France and Italy, where it owns the Samanta tannery in the Tuscan city of Pisa, among other facilities. Its upcoming Florentine show will mark the first time Chanel has showcased its Métiers d’art collection outside of its home country since the outbreak of covid-19, as well as the first time it has done so in Italy since 2015, when it staged a presentation under Karl Lagerfeld in Rome.

“Artistic craftsmanship is anchored in the history of Florence, rich with a cultural heritage and ancestral savoir-faire still very much alive today,” the brand commented.
