Delvaux in tie-up with pre-owned specialist
Belgian luxury leathergoods house Delvaux has entered the resale arena in the form of a “sustainable” partnership with fellow Belgian company Labellov, which specialises in the sale of pre-owned designer fashion and accessories.
Four selected Delvaux boutiques - Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges and Knokke - will function as drop-off points for existing customers who desire to sell their pre-loved, Delvaux branded leathergoods. Labellov will then take care of the rest, including securing new buyers.
Upon dropping off their handbag, customers will receive a voucher to put towards additional purchases. If and when their pre-owned item sells, they will also receive the selling commission - thus making it a “double win” for them, Labellov said.
Both enterprises hope to create a more environmentally friendly “loop” for Delvaux goods as a result of their collaboration.
