Kenyan president to formally open new tannery

The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, will preside over the official opening of a new tannery in the Narok County area of Kenya. The ceremony will take place on August 2, local media report.

Total investment in this facility is reported to be more than $7 million. It is expected to create 300 direct jobs. 

Earlier this month, the President’s Delivery Unit (PDU) gave the tannery its formal approval after touring the site.
