A number of Indian companies, led by the country’s Council of Leather Exports, are taking part in a visit to Nairobi to look for potential investment opportunities and trade deals, according to reports in Kenyan media.

The reports said the delegation, made up of around 20 people, arrived in Kenya on July 23 and will stay for three days.

Isaack Noor, chief executive of the Kenya Leather Development Council, was quoted as saying: “They are basically scouting for deals in the leather sector. They are led by the head of the industries in their countries and therefore this is a very powerful delegation.”

This is said to be the third such visit by the Indian delegation.
