Genetics the focus for MLA’s next BeefUp forum

22/08/2018
Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) will host the latest edition of its BeefUp forum at the Spyglass Research Station in North Queensland on September 7.

These events take place across Australia, giving local beef producers the opportunity to hear about the latest research and development in the industry and how it might be applied to boost the performance of their herds.

The event in Queensland will feature a range of guest speakers addressing regionally relevant issues, with a focus on genetics and the use of technology to build a better beef business. There will also be a number of trade displays and practical demonstrations.

In addition, the forum aims to get direct input from local producers in order to drive the future direction of research and development programmes.

MLA managing director Richard Norton will provide an update on the organisation’s latest research programmes. Details of the other speakers can be found on the MLA website
