01/05/2018
The event, which took place under the banner “Fashion Goes Digital”, was attended by industry stakeholders from 20 countries. Lectra gave those in attendance a sneak preview of its new fully-automated cutting room solution for fashion and apparel.
Among the topics discussed during the event were the digital future of product development, new business opportunities for fashion companies, and how machine learning can help predict consumer demand and avoid waste.
Representatives from two Sri Lanka-based companies, Brandix and MAS Kreeda, were also on hand to share their Lectra customer experience.
After the event, Lectra’s chief marketing and communications officer, Céline Choussy Bedouet, said: “We have unveiled our strategy last year where we have identified Industry 4.0 and digitalisation as our key drivers. Our goal for this event is to show that we are, indeed, living and breathing Industry 4.0 and we do have what it takes to help our customers succeed in this era. Our latest cutting room 4.0 shows that we are not just talking about the future of fashion anymore, we are living in it right now as we speak.”
