Automated cutting technology provider Lectra has appointed Holger Max-Lang as managing director for the Central & Eastern Europe region and Russia.

The company described this area as a “strategic region” and said it offers “strong potential” in its main market sectors. The reasons it gave for this include: a robust automotive industry; a dynamic furniture market, especially in Germany and Poland; and a close connection between fashion brands in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and suppliers in Eastern Europe.

Lectra has also announced that Akihiko Tanaka has taken on the role of managing director of its Japanese business. His role will be to support the company’s Japanese fashion & apparel and automotive customers as they undergo transformations related to Industry 4.0.
