Lectra to build workforce after positive year

Automated cutting technology provider Lectra plans to hire more staff to work at its research and development and production operations in Gironde, France, according to local media reports.

The company recently announced revenue of €277.2 million for 2017, an improvement of 8% compared to the previous year. Its net income increased 10% year on year to €29.3 million. 

Lectra increased its workforce by 100 people in 2017, including adding 80 new staff at its research and development centre in Cestas. This year, it will hire 80 more research and development staff and a further 15 will be added to its production team in the region.
