Leather belt wins CES innovation prize
Korean company Welt has been awarded a CES 2020 Innovation Awards for its Smart Belt Pro, which it claims features the world’s first fall prevention function.

The belt is made from premium Italian cowhide and includes sitting time measurement, “monitoring for overeating” and step counting.

The Las Vegas-based event showcases the latest in technology and smart devices each January. Highlights this year have included voice-activated taps, snore-reducing pillows and Alexa-enabled showerheads.

WELT co-founder Ken Roh said: “CES is like a contest that gives us a chance to show off our hard work in the past year. Buyers and media companies from all over the world stop by our booth to experience WELT and promote the value of the brand.”
