25/04/2018
The fourth annual Lectra automotive leather conference got under way on April 25 at the leather cutting technology provider’s research centre at Cestas, near Bordeaux.

With ‘Go Digital’ as the event’s theme, there were presentations and a panel discussion on the first day involving senior spokespeople from consultancy Frost & Sullivan, tier-one automotive seating providers Faurecia and SCI Seating, and from automotive leather manufacturer Seton AutoLeather.

Lectra also offered updates on and demonstrations of its cutting technology, including a new release, V7R1, of its leathersuite software for the Versalis cutter. The technology provider said it expects this new version to help tanners achieve a 6% improvement in productivity, as well as improvements in nesting efficiency, data analysis and connectivity.
