LVMH’s Italian apprentices attend Fendi master class

The group announced in July 2017 that it would expand its Institut des Métiers d’Excellence (IME) initiative to Italy, joining forces with Florence-based fashion and design school Polimoda to train new leathergoods artisans in the country.
The first intake began their training in November at IME’s Italian headquarters in the Maison Emilio Pucci, home of the Italian fashion brand which has been part of the LVMH portfolio since 2000.
As part of their first master class in early April, the apprentices from Polimoda spent the day at the headquarters of luxury leathergoods brand Fendi. They took part in a workshop and received a tour of the building and of the ‘Fendi Studio’ exhibition, which celebrates the Maison’s links with the world of cinema.
In the afternoon, they had the opportunity to present their work on the theme of ‘Studio and Productions’.
