Luxury group LVMH held the fourth edition of its vocational training fair on January 15. The initiative, which it calls the Institut des Métiers d’Excellence Village, first took place in 2016.

Its aim is to give young people the opportunity to discover the work, study and training programmes that are available to them in areas like artisanal craftsmanship and retail. Leather is among the sectors that features. Around 600 young people participated in this latest edition.

Les Compagnons du Devoir et Du Tour, an organisation with a long history of passing on artisanal skills and techniques in France, was one of the associations present at the event. In addition, human resources managers from a number of LVMH group Maisons, including Berluti and Louis Vuitton, were on hand to meet potential apprentices.
