CNC to participate in Lyon careers event

French leather industry body the Conseil National du Cuir (CNC) will attend the forthcoming Mondial des Métiers careers fair in Lyon (February 1-4) to offer details about the career paths available in the tanning and leathergoods industries. 

It will occupy a stand alongside some of the local training institutions which offer courses related to the leather industry. A second stand will be supported by representatives from French leathergoods brand Hermès.

The CNC will also organise demonstrations of artisanal leathergoods skills, including shoe construction, glove cutting and small leathergoods making. These will be delivered by experienced artisans and young people currently undergoing training, and are intended to showcase the savoir-faire of French artisans.
