Hermès celebrates saddlery heritage in Shanghai

The first stop on the group’s global tour is Shanghai where Hermès is hosting an exhibit called “Harnessing the Roots”. It is dedicated to horse harnesses and other equestrian equipment, which was the company’s original market when it was founded by Thierry Hermès in 1837.
Among the items on show at the Hermès Maison in Shanghai are bridles, saddles and hoods. There is also information about how the brand’s origins have influenced the bags, garments and accessories it has manufactured and sold throughout its history.
This exhibit opened on October 20 and will run until November 18.
