Home is where the heart is for Hermès

The first of these was inaugurated on June 9 in the town of Saint-Junien, in the Haute-Vienne region of the country. Hermès has operated a facility dedicated to glove making there since 1998, but the new building will focus on manufacturing small leathergoods. It will eventually employ nearly 120 leather artisans.
On June 13, the group will began manufacturing at a new facility in Val-de-Reuil in the northern part of the country. At present, the leathergoods workshop at this location shares a building with the brand’s perfumes division. It will now have its own dedicated building, which will allow the workforce to ultimately grow from 100 to 250.
