PrimeAsia creates 'smart' leathers for spring/summer 2017

It says the Summer Casuals collection for footwear leathers features innovative leather technologies and summer designs, while the Summer Athletics collection is “fashion-forward” and targeted at the “sneaker revolution”.
Its ‘smart engineering’ policy encompasses technological efficiency, chemical upgrades and grading packages.
The group, which has facilities in China, Vietnam, Taiwan and the US, was reaccredited Leather Working Group gold in March under the more stringent Protocol 6.1.1.
The tannery also received traceability grade A, which means more than 90% of hides are traceable to the slaughterhouse. PrimeAsia China purchases 95% of hides from LWG gold-rated beam houses.
