Prada, Kors and Vuitton top online leathergoods charts
A survey of online luxury brands has found Prada, Michael Kors and Louis Vuitton offer the most choice for consumers in terms of handbags, with each of the companies offering more than 640 styles.
They are followed by Gucci, Burberry, Ralph Lauren and Armani, which offer around 400 products, 10% of which cost more than $3,000.
In terms of footwear, Ralph Lauren and Gucci offer the widest selection, with around 600 styles, followed by Tods, Michael Kors and Armani with around 400 styles.
The survey, produced by bank Exane BNP Paribas and research group ContactLab, analysed 30 brands, 40,000 styles and 62,700 items.
The authors said: “The online luxury goods offer is getting broader and deeper. We see more companies taking up the online offer opportunity and latecomers like Prada seem to be racing to catch-up.”
