Italian leather chemists wish for better communication

At the annual meeting of the Italian Association of Leather Chemists, AICC, delegates discussed the need for more effective communication between all players in the supply chain, and heard that requests submitted by customers to tanneries are often not specific enough.

Speakers included AICC president Gianluigi Calvanese; Valentina Beghetto from the molecular sciences department at the University of Venice; Gustavo Defeo, a technician at Ars Tinctoria; Nicola Andreanini, director of wastewater consortium Aquarno; and Maurizio Masini from the University of Siena.

At the 43rd National Congress was held at Institute Cattaneo in San Miniato.
