Second-half profits boost for Pittards

UK-based leather group Pittards has reported revenues for 2014 that were in line with expectations, broadly similar to the year before.

Revenues for the year to the end of December totalled £34.7m compared with £35.8 million in 2013, and profit before tax was £1.6 million, compared with £1.7 million.

Chairman Stephen Boyd said: “The second half of 2014 was significantly more profitable than the first half leading to a full-year result in line with expectations.”

Pittards derives more than 90% of its revenues from outside the UK.

It owns a gloving operation and the Ethiopia Tannery Share, which was Tannery of the Year in 2010.
