Intertek signs leather testing deal in Bangladesh

Testing group Intertek has signed a “synergistic agreement” with the Leathergoods & Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) to leverage the expertise and networks of both organisations.

Under the agreement, Intertek will serve as the preferred testing lab for LFMEAB members, offering specialised services related to testing of leather, footwear and leathergoods, environmental testing of effluent water, product quality compliance, technical support and facility audits.

Syed Nasim Manzur, president of LFMEAB, and Intertek regional director Rajesh Saigal signed the MOU on behalf of their organisations.
