Revamped Sudanese tannery ready to export

Sudan’s White Nile has emerged from a $20 million revamp, according to local press, and is ready to begin exporting.

Tannery director Mohamed Omer El Rifai said it has been equipped with new machinery.

Established in 1974, the tannery employs around 160 and has a potential turnover of $3 million when working at full capacity, according to its website.
