Ethiopian president Mulatu Teshome has called for Kenyans to invest in its leather sector at a meeting with his Kenyan counterpart, Uhuru Kenyatta.

Local reports say the two leaders were discussing how to increase trade between the countries, and suggested tanneries and finished leathergoods companies were ripe for investment.

The meeting, held at the Jubilee Palace in Addis Ababa, was attended by a large contingent of businessmen from both countries.
