British ambassador visits Pittards' Ethiopian tannery
Ethiopia Tannery Share Company (ETSC), owned by UK-headquartered leather brand Pittards, welcomed the British Ambassador to Ethiopia and Djibouti, Greg Dorey, to the factory for a tour hosted by CEO Reg Hankey and general manager Jason Perry.

Mr Dorey had previously visited the company’s gloving and garment production facility, which employs 600 in Addis Ababa. ETSC currently employs 700, but Pittards plans to boost the factory and tannery to a combined 5,000 within five years.

ETSC was the global winner of the first Tannery of the Year competition in 2009, the full report of which is available in our technical library.
