ETSC director retires after 40 years at Pittards
UK-based leathergoods company Pittards has said farewell to the managing director of Ethiopia Tannery Share Company, John Moriarty, after nearly 40 years with the company.

Mr Moriarty joined Pittards in 1974, working in the tanning department of the factory and was later promoted to quality manager. He left the company briefly in 1985, returning in 1988 initially as overseas technical development manager.

During John’s time with Pittards he managed J&T Beaven, Pittards’ chamois factory in Holt near Trowbridge, UK, until its sale in the 1990s.

He subsequently stepped into his role as raw materials and utilisation director at Pittards and managing director of ETSC in Ethiopia.

“John’s commitment to the company through the years has been unwavering and Pittards would like to wish him the best of luck in his retirement,” said the company in a statement.
