JBS Couros rolls out high-performance upholstery finish

JBS Couros, the leather division of Brazil-based meat group JBS, has launched a finish called EVO, that it says adds durability to leather, specifically for the upholstery sector.

The range will be introduced at furniture fair Showtime Market (Interwoven), which takes place between May 22 and 25 in North Carolina, US.

Guilherme Motta, president of JBS Couros, said "The EVO range has double the resistance in relation to regular leather. Moreover, it does not exhibit the hard, plasticized aspect of similar products on the market.

“It is based on a highly complex international technical standard testing having been carried out using capillary products, food, beverages and even urine. We believe the material will be a highly successful differential and widely accepted on the market.”
