Long-term vision for Manolo Blahnik aftercare tie-up
Luxury footwear brand Manolo Blahnik has joined hands with London-based The Restory, an aftercare service provider which specialises in shoes, handbags, leathergoods and, most recently, clothing.
The partnership, branded Mend My Manolos, offers a full service to Blahnik’s worldwide clientele, “from standard resoling and reheeling to advanced restoration and dyeing”, which the company said demonstrates a responsible approach in support of a greener future for fashion and, specifically, high-end “investment” purchases.
London-based customers can drop off their Blahnik-branded articles in either of the footwear and accessories firm’s Chelsea or Mayfair boutiques, where staff will book services with The Restory’s atelier on clients’ behalf. Customers located outside of London will have the option to schedule collection and delivery via courier DHL.
The brand said that teaming up with The Restory - the latter’s first brand partnership, following agreements with luxury platform Farfetch and other retailers - would by extension offer Manolo Blahnik shoppers the opportunity to “extend the longevity of the promise that comes with an investment piece”.
