22/08/2018
The company’s leather business unit will use the event to showcase its range of chemicals for the production of leather for the footwear, apparel, furniture and automotive industries. They include chemicals for the beamhouse process, mineral and synthetic tanning agents, preservatives, retanning agents, fatliquors, dyes and numerous finishing products.
On August 30, Dr Volker Rabe, head of technical product management for tanning technology at Lanxess, will hold a seminar to present the latest findings on Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and the minimisation of odours from leather vehicle components.
Another of the company’s focuses at ACLE 2018 will be the protection of leather intermediates against yeasts and fungi. This will see Dr Dietrich Tegtmeyer,
who is responsible at Lanxess for the global development of crusting and leather industry relations, provide an update on preservation with ortho-phenylphenol (OPP).
In addition, Lanxess will present the latest trends in colours and haptics for footwear and leathergoods through a number of exhibits.
