Lanxess announces autumn-winter 2019-2020 colour trends

Its trend experts have identified four themes for the season: Circoli urbani, Cioccolato e mogano, Cemento e olive and Colori senza tempo.
For ‘Circoli urbani’, the emphasis is on urban colours and tones, including tones from nature and, Lanxess has said, “the seductive colour of a cappuccino on a cold morning”.
Chocolate is also a typical colour of autumn, the company says, and is at the core of the ‘Cioccolato e mogano’ theme. Warm and seductive chocolate tones combine perfectly with orange tones that are reminiscent of seasonal pumpkins. They also combine with cold tones typical of this season, such as the white of a rainy day. Colours foreign to this season of the year such as the green of a grasshopper, interweaves harmoniously.
With ‘Cemento e olive’, the focus is on the middle of winter. Colours here include the tones of a wet pavement or candy. Perhaps, Lanxess says, “a seductive rhododendron” accentuates it even more.
Finally, in ‘Colori senza tempo’, there is a positive and bright palette of colours to lighten the mood in the depth of winter. Lanxess lists the colours that dominate as electric grey, mauve, cognac and raw, bluish tones.
