17/04/2018
The Brazilian Leather project, an initiative developed by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) to promote hides and skins produced from the country, is organising a special exposition at the Minas Trend fashion exhibition in Belo Horizonte (April 17-20).

Entitled ‘Leather: Fashion’s Sustainable Luxury’, the exposition will feature products from ten handbag and shoes brands. All are made from bovine hides from Brazilian tanneries.

Ricardo Michaelsen, who is coordinating this project on behalf of CICB, said the exposition aims to demonstrate the importance of leather as a modern raw material which aligns with the productive processes of the fashion industry.

The brands participating in the exposition are: Ágali, Celso Afonso, Débora Germani, Diwo, Elisa Atheniense, Floré, Junia Gomes, La Spezia, Mara Spina and Paula Bahia.

They have used materials from the following tanneries in their products: Arte da Pele, Baby Leather, Couroquímica, Courovale by BCM, Fuga Couros, Curtume Natur, Nova Kaeru and Rhoma Pelles.
