Leather plays a part in Kenya’s job creation strategy

Kenya president Uhuru Kenyatta has outlined the key areas his administration will focus on as he begins his second and final five-year term in office.

He highlighted the creation of more jobs for the Kenyan people as one of his main priorities and explained that this will be achieved by expanding the country’s manufacturing industry.

Leather was one of the sub-sectors President Kenyatta said the government will concentrate its attention on. The others were the blue economy, agro-processing and textiles.
