Slight dip in sales for Tandy in 2016

10/03/2017
Leather and leathergoods retailer Tandy Leather Factory has reported sales of $82.9 million for 2016, a 1% fall compared to the previous year.

It achieved net income of $6.4 million for this period.

For the year, wholesale sales fell 5% and there was a slight decrease in retail sales, but international sales were 5% higher.

"While we faced tough headwinds on the revenue side all year, as reflected in the 1% decrease in sales, our net income did not suffer,” said Tina Castillo, Tandy chief financial officer. “We believe 2017 will be a year of investment to lay a foundation for profitable growth."
