Aspinal of London appoints former Loewe chief as CEO

08/03/2017
Leathergoods brand Aspinal of London has named Lisa Montague as its new CEO. She will take up the role in September, replacing Sarah Rotheram.

Ms Montague was previously CEO of LVMH-owned luxury leathergoods brand Loewe, a position she left in October 2016 after seven years. Prior to that, she spent six years as chief operating officer of UK brand Mulberry.

Iain Burton, chairman and founder of Aspinal, described Montague’s “leadership and vision” as “exceptional”.

Another former Mulberry employee, Nick Roberts, is also joining Aspinal. He will become a non-executive director, having previously served as managing director of Mulberry Europe.

The appointments coincide with the brand’s plans to expand, with a new flagship store expected to be opened in the summer in the St James district of London. It is also planning to open a new store in Edinburgh.
