Leathergoods contribute to strong quarter for LVMH
Luxury group LVMH achieved revenue of $9.1 billion in the third quarter of 2016, an increase of 6% in currency-neutral terms compared to the same period last year.

This represents an acceleration of the group’s sales growth compared to the first half of the year. It was led by “significant improvement” in Asia, while sales in the US and Europe were strong.

Its fashion and leathergoods division performed well in the quarter, achieving 5% growth in revenue to €3.1 billion. So far this year, the segment has brought in revenue of just under €9 billion, a 2% increase year-on-year. This has been led by “good growth” at the Céline, Loewe and Kenzo brands.

For the first nine months of 2016, LVMH’s revenue is up 5% to €26.3 billion.
