Visitors flock to LVMH’s ‘Les Journées Particulières’
26/05/2016
Previous editions in 2011 and 2013 attracted around 100,000, but the figure this time was more than 145,000, with the public taking the opportunity to go behind the scenes at LVMH fashion houses to see how its artisans make products including leathergoods and shoes.
In all, 53 venues opened their doors over three days and visitors were able to take part in workshops and masterclasses.
Antoine Arnault, chief executive of Berluti, said afterwards: “Les Journées Particulières were once again an opportunity for the group to highlight the richness and diversity of creativity, craftsmanship and savoir-faire at its maisons. They enabled us to demonstrate to the public both the beauty of these crafts and how essential they are for the world of tomorrow.”
