Kolkata-based company Torero Corporation are to be responsible for the global manufacture, marketing and distribution of leather accessories from Italian brand Police after signing an exclusive licensing agreement.

Police launched its leather accessories range in 2014 and Torero will now present the company’s collection of bags and accessories, including wallets, belts and shoes, in India.

Torero director and CEO Yashovardhan Gupta says his company has been negotiating with Police’s parent company De Rigo Group for two years and will primarily focus its efforts on the US, the UK, Spain, Belgium and India.

“We were suppliers and manufacturers to Police’s leather accessory range during its launch. Now Police’s range will be manufactured, marketed and distributed by us,” he said.
