Luxury group LVMH has nominated two former government advisers to join its board next month.

Madame Clara Gaymard has held several positions within the French government, notably at the Direction des Relations Economiques Extérieures in the Ministry of the Economy and Finance before becoming President of Invest in France Agency and then joining General Electric (GE), where she was CEO of GE France until 2016.

Madame Natacha Valla started her career at the European Central Bank, then at the Banque de France before joining Goldman Sachs as an executive director. She is currently deputy director of CEPII, the French think-tank in International Economics, where she heads the Macroeconomic and International Finance programme.

She is also a member of the Commission Economique de la Nation and scientific advisor of the ACPR (the French administrative authority responsible for supervising the banking and insurance sectors in France).
