Spanish university gives backing to Italians’ leather certification plans

Representatives from Santa Croce tanneries were commended for environmental best practice when they visited counterparts in Spain.

The Spanish district of Igualada in Catalonia is home to 25 tanneries, as well the leather innovation faculty of the Igualada Engineering School.

The Spanish academics gave their backing to the idea of a new quality certification presented by Associazione Conciatori last November.
