Indian leather companies heading to South Africa

A group of Indian leather producers and leathergoods companies are heading to South Africa in March to host a trade expo in Cape Town.

India’s Council for Leather Exports will host 30 footwear, leather garments and leathergoods manufacturers in a bid to boost trade and persuade retailers to source from the country.

“There’s something of interest for anyone involved in the industry – chains to independents, importers and distributors to agents,” said organiser Deidre Harte.

The Footwear, Leathergoods, Accessories, Leather Garments and Finished Leather Trade Expo will take place on March 8 and 9 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
