Saudi Arabia reopens to Brazilian beef

Saudi Arabia is to reopen its markets to Brazilian beef, following case of atypical bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), also known as mad cow disease, in 2012.

Brazil said it now hopes to export around $170 million worth of beef a year to the country.

Saudi last year imported $355 million of beef from other origins, according to a report on Reuters.
