Talent will be key to growth, says Michael Kors
US-based leathergoods brand Michael Kors has hired Pascale Meyran as senior vice-president and chief human resources officer, reporting to CEO John Idol.

Mr Idol said: “As we continue to expand and strengthen our position as a leading global luxury brand, it is essential that we develop the best and the brightest talent to support our growth.”

Ms Meyran has joined from SC Johnson & Son, and has worked variety of human resources functions at General Electric.

Earlier this month, the group announced a share offering and the resignation of two members of the board: Lawrence Stroll and Silas Chou. “On behalf of Michael, myself and our board, I would like to thank Lawrence and Silas for their significant contributions to our success. We believe we have a bright future ahead with continued opportunity for growth,” said Mr Idol.

Kors has been growing strongly over the past two years, in contrast to mid-market peer Coach.
