Brazil’s tanneries present fashion leathers for 2015

Brazilian tanneries showcased their latest leathers for the leathergoods and footwear industries, sourcing for autumn winter 2015, at the recent Inspiramais show in São Paulo.

Tropical Brazil inspired Arte da Pele’s collection. The company presented leathers with motifs based on the rainforest, the Brazilian coastline and culture, including hand-painted skins.

Péltica showcased it new silk-screen and vacuum leathers. Natural prints – such as fish on fish skin – were highlights at the tannery’s stand.

Metalized leather with a suede touch, embossed leather and pastel shades were among the designs by Couroquímica. The company also presented classic hides for handbags and shoes in black and white shades.

Schmechel presented a collection of hand-painted belly leather, in interwoven blankets and with stone applications in green, pink and blue.

Several effects were highlighted on the leather produced by Blauth: glitter applications, a vintage look, pearled contrast and depth. 

Rhoma presented leathers with animal prints, metalized effects and perforations. 
Santa Croce focusing on traditional leathers and took earthy toned skins with metalized effects and animal prints.

Aguapé works with frog and fish skin, offering 37 colours for separated skins or interwoven blankets as well as glazed and pearled effects.

A Bühler’s collection showed elements of nature over glazed skins cut by hand and with contrasts between shiny and opaque effects. Geometric patterns and classic black and white were also highlights.

The classics caught the attention at the Couros Nobre’s stand, as well as new creations such as hair-on animal print and glazing over embroidered leather.

Courovale presented leathers with several different textures, patterns and effects, such as animal prints, drops, bright colours, soft shades and bi-colours.

Aplic Colour presented two new prints – mini-tilapia and vitral. Leopard, lizard and snake patterns were also prevalent in the company’s collection.

Wellour’s flagship products are suede and nubuck. Prints with a patent look, animal prints and camouflage patterns and applications were among the articles presented.

Natur presented a mix of flower and animal prints, as well as the application of embroidery and depth effects on leather.

Tre Anytry’s skins were hand painted, with inspiration from tropical Brazil. Leathers in natural shades were also presented.

Policouro had numerous possibilities for skins and leather soles including opaque and glazed finishes in a variety of colours.

Couro Sul presented artisan work using soft skins with machine-cut effects on metalized and classics.

Rusan’s bright pastel tones were popular. Metalized effects and animal prints shared the attention with the tie-dye pattern developed by the tannery.

Nova Kaeru presented a new finish for pirarucu skin in green, orange and grey.

FAF took a mixture of rustic and metalized leathers, as well as articles with animal prints and the effect of threads over the skins.

Three collections were developed for Fuga’s colour scheme – neutrals, intense and candies. 

Finally, Mundo da Camurça offered a hand-antiqued effect, reverse snake with brushed effect and a stone-washed look.
