A new home for Fendi Casa in Milan
Fendi Casa, a high-end homeware brand relaunched last year as a joint venture between LVMH-owned Italian luxury house Fendi and Roman creative studio Design Holding, has opened its first flagship store in Milan, only steps away from La Scala opera house.
Design Holding is co-controlled by owner of luxury brands Zegna and Morgan Motor Cars, Investindustrial, as well as The Carlyle Group, which has previously invested in companies including Supreme and Getty Images.
It describes itself as “the world’s leading high-quality design group” on its website.
Led artistically by Silvia Venturini Fendi, creative director of accessories and menswear at Fendi, the Milanese store spans around 700 square metres. The line is designed and made in and around the Misinto area of Brianza in north-west Lombardy, itself situated between Milan and Lake Como.
On the release of the first Fendi Casa collection since the line's resurgence in 2021, Ms Venturini Fendi said at the time: “I believe that this new phase encapsulates all the messages and values that we have built and amplified over the years, rendering a clear image of what we are and where we want to be.”
Design Holding’s chief executive, Daniel Lalonde, commented that the new boutique will not only serve as a shopfront, but also as “a big statement of the allure and modernity of the new Fendi Casa”.
