13,000 Lineapelle visitors are ‘increasingly selective’
Gianni Russo, president of leather show Lineapelle, which held its 99th edition between February 22 and 24, has said the show represented an increasingly selective market.

More than 13,000 visitors attended the Milan event, with 960 exhibitors from 31 countries.

Mr Russo said: "This edition of Lineapelle confirmed its dominant role as a reference point in the exhibition context of the fashion and luxury industry and represented an increasingly selective market, oriented towards the search for maximum quality and service.”

The Shift to Regenerative Mobility project (pictured), a two-year collaboration between Lineapelle and Hyundai Transy, displayed a concept car with leather interiors, a futuristic example of "regenerative mobility". The Leather and its Circularity space was also a success, said organisers, showcasing projects linked to the circular path of leather and Italian manufacturing.

Franco Gabbrielli, president of leathergoods association Assopellettieri, commented that leathergoods show Mipel had been a success too: “The partnership with Lineapelle has once again proved to be a winning one, and we are ready to follow them to New York, London, and Shanghai in the name of this synergy.”
