Lineapelle-backed materials collection on global tour
A Lineapelle-backed materials exhibition has toured the US and Sweden, introducing designers to “responsible” materials, including Italian leather.

Co-organised by Italian sustainable materials hub CLASS and fashion consultant Orietta Pelizzari, A New Point of Materials helps visitors to “learn about the genuinely green journey of leather, textile materials and technologies”.

After Lineapelle in Milan, the collection travelled to Los Angeles and featured in The Campus, The Art Center College of Design and several design studios. It has now moved Stockholm, where it is being viewed by Swedish brands.

Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of leather fair Lineapelle, said: “The project focuses on the future of the supply chain where Italian responsible leather has a key role to play, and the development of a language that goes beyond what has become the custom of trivialising sustainability.”

The exhibition will head to New York in July.
