Fashion-forward online “curation platform” Hago, based in Seoul, has reported a 90% jump in searches for designer handbags via its website.

The company’s sales of the high-end goods are also up 150%, South Korean media said.

Hago further noted how its offering of luxury bags is particularly popular among millennial and generation Z (known as the MZ generation within the country) shoppers at the moment, with the combination of “unique” design and a price considered to be “reasonable” proving to be a winning formula.

One particular example of sales success is Korean brand Abonne, which saw sales soar more than 300% in the first half of this year compared to the previous year.
