Christian Dior wins environmental progression award

LVMH’s Climate Week recently concluded with its LIFE in Stores Awards (LIFE stands for LVMH Initiatives for the Environment), which were created in 2016 and are certified by an independent third-party auditor.

The awards (digital, this year) “recognise the top initiatives that create a virtuous cycle of progress and drive innovation to elevate the environmental performance of the group’s stores,” LVMH said in a press release.

Christian Dior retail stores were particularly commended in the special “Progression” category, a clear signal that the brand is making headway with LVMH’s environmental initiatives.

Other winners included Louis Vuitton (who won in the envelope design and energy management categories), Berluti (maintenance), Bvlgari (lighting and interior design) and Loro Piana (interior air quality).

On the awards, LVMH environmental development director, Hélène Valade, said: “By co-creating solutions and encouraging their widespread adoption we can achieve real progress. Our teams have once again shown that they are eager to be involved and above all, that they are ready to take concrete actions.”
