No casualties in Arzignano tannery fire

A small fire at a tannery in the Italian town of Arzignano was caused by a blockage in a finishing machine, according to local press.

It is unclear how much damage has been caused and to what extent orders will be affected but no one was injured the blaze that was under control in a couple of hours.

Benetti was founded in 1957 by Rino Benetti and specialises in upholstery and automotive leathers.

According to its website, it has a production capacity of about 2,000 skins per day and mainly sells to Northern Europe and the US.
