Environment minister meets tanners in Arzignano

Italy’s environment minister, Barbara Degani, travelled to Arzignano in the province of Vicenza on April 10 to meet a delegation of senior representatives of the tanning industry there.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of prominent tanning group Gruppo Dani, with Rino Mastrotto, president of industry association UNIC also present.

Together, they and their technical partners (chemical supplier Ikem, biotechnology firm Ilsa and the cluster’s wastewater treatment service provider, Acque del Chiampo) made a presentation on joint environmental improvement programme, Green Leather Industry for the Environment (greenLIFE).
